Edward Gidzinski age 83 passed away on Monday morning at his home. He is predeceased by one son Eddy, and his parents Jacob and Adele H. Gidzinski. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Jacqueline(Vimislik) Gidzinski of Port Crane, 1 daughter Eileen Bonham of Port Crane, three granddaughters, Shannon Bonham and George Heggie of Oxford, Stacie Bonham of Port Crane and Emma Stewart of Cenreville, Va., 1 grandson Andrew Gidzinski of Cenreville Va. and one great grandaughter Mazlynn, 1 daughter- in- law Mary Gidzinski of Cenreville Va. , 2 brothers Chester and Paul Gidzinski of Port Crane, 3 sister-in- laws, Theresa Kaminsky of Endicott, Iona and Adele Gidzinski of Port Crane; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. Edward had worked at Binghamton University in the Maintenance Dept for 26 years having retired in 2000, prior to that he also worked at EH Titcheners for many years. He enjoyed hunting, his John Deere tractors and his polka music. Ed was one of the hardest working men you would ever find.

Gloria, Thank You for Your Dedication to Volunteering

Gloria J Bevilacqua, 83, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center. She was predeacesed by her parents, Stanley and Eleanor Mietus; brother, Richard Mietus and a grandson, Paul Monticello. She is survived by her husband, Samuel; children, Lonie (Harry) Hutchison, Victor, MT, Susan (Bruce) Fahrenz, Kirkwood, NY, Kerri (Robert) Kika, Binghamton, Carol (Sebastian) Monticello, Endicott, Gary Bevilacqua, Endicott, Donna (Bill) Weber, Endicott, Lori (Larry) Dixon, Yulee, FL; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; sister, Dolly (Orlando) Ciotoli, Endicott; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Endicott, and involved with its Chow Pantry for many years. She was an avid doll collector, doll maker, teddy bear collector and flower gardener. She loved spending time at family gatherings. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30AM from St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 200 Jefferson Ave, Endicott. The Very Rev. John Martinichio will officiate. Eugene F. Burns

Eugene F. Burns, 82, formerly of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord Sunday morning, November 14, 2010, at Willow Point Nursing Home. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Bernice Burns. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Burns; his children and spouses, James and Lynn Burns, David Burns, Diane and James Mays, Donna and John Burchell, Beverly Burns, Robert and Marie Burns; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City, and a Eucharistic Minister. He was an avid hunter, gardener, and loved to assemble model planes. Eugene was very devoted to his wife and family. The family would like to thank the staff of N2 at Willow Point Nursing Home for the care given to Eugene. Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at St. James Church, where a funeral mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. She was predeceased by her husband John F. in 1979; a daughter Grace-Marie Harvey in 2010; her parents, Joseph and Isabella Tedeschi; brothers, Frank, Martin, Michael and Louis Tedeschi and a sister, Grace Suggs. She is survived by a daughter and sons-in-law, Isabel and Louis Montone, Boynton Beach, FL and Wayne Harvey, Endwell; her grandchildren, John Harvey, Vestal; Catherine and Scott Denmon, Endicott; Christopher Montone and his fiancée, Linda Watson, Germany; Robert and Nancy Montone, East Aurora, NY and Lisa Montone, Cary, NC; eight great grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Florence Zucco; Phyllis and Gene Ash, all of Endwell and Lucille and Michael Rossi, Deltona, FL; a brother, Anthony Tedeschi, Endicott; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vito and Mary; Dominick and Doris; Nicholas and Mary and Cosamina; also several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott and was co-owner of Palmisano's Market, Binghamton. Some of Mary's memberships included Alhambra Sidona Caravan #212 Sultana Auxiliary, St. Ann's Club, Catholic Daughters of America, a Republican Committee Woman and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer. William J. Heis Jr., 78, of Johnson City, died Friday, November 5, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Irene Heis. He is survived by his loving partner, Joan Sexton, Johnson City; cousins, Trude and Irwin Benjamin, Conklin; his best friends, the Sexton Girls, Barbara and Kenneth Bohling, Owego and their children, Keith and Susan Bohling, Albany, NY, Matthew and Julianne Bohling, Seattle, WA. He was a graduate of Binghamton University and a retiree of the IBM Corp. Mr. Heis has been known in the area for his participation in theatrical productions with the Ti-Ahwaga Players and the Civic Theatre. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00am at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St., Johnson City. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. D. Jean Kennedy, 89, passed away the morning of November 2, 2010 at the Lourdes Hospice unit after a brief stay. She is survived by her niece Dorn Black of Vestal, and Dorn's daughters Darcia and Danielle Black of Raleigh, N. C. Also surviving are her cousins: Craig and Marge Waldo of Apalachin, NY and their children; Donald and Jewel, who were extremely supportive during her battle with Parkinson's Disease; David, Barbara, Douglas, Mark, and Nanette; and Gary Waldo of Bath, NY and his children: Dwight, Duane and Deborah. Jean was a kind and generous person, and will be missed by many; human and canine friends alike. She was a graduate of Westminster College, and SUNY Albany with BA degrees, and received her MSLS from Syracuse University. She taught Social Studies in Candor, Port Jervis and Vestal, and was librarian in the Vestal Schools and retired as Coordinator of Library Services from the Vestal Central School System.She was an Elder of First Presbyterian Church in Endicott, and a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
Funeral Service will be held Friday evening, November 5, at 7:00 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. Reverend Janice Devine, Co-Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Endicott, will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will be held on Saturday at Riverhurst Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Presbyterian Church of Endicott, 29 Grant Avenue, or the charity of one's choice.

Louella (Locke) Lisi


Louella (Lou) or Mena to her friends, was welcomed into Heaven by God and her late husband, Felice (Pause) Lisi on Thursday, October 7, 2010.

Her parents also predeceased her. Mena is survived by her three children, Michael and Corene Lisi, Michelle and Tim McHale, Mario and Tonia Lisi; sister, Shirley Stevens; brother, Welly (Linda) Locke; grandchildren, that she was so very fond of that she never stopped shopping for, Michaela (John Clark), Frank McHale, Matia and Anthony Lisi; Mena insisted on spoiling and returning to their own parents as any good grandma would do, step-grandchildren, Tammy (Archie) Brace; Carrie Hagi; Stacie (Chrys) Wade; step-great grandchildren, Nicole, Gabriel, Elias, Keara, Tyler, and Christian, all who were very special and held a place in her heart; brother-in-law, Frank (Carol) Lisi, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews. Even though we could not list them all, she never stopped talking about you, and she loved to talk, but you all left a place in her heart.

She retired from the City of Binghamton School District and was actively involved volunteering for CHOW and found great joy in knitting mittens for local schools and was known as the "Mitten Lady." Mena would also like to recognize some special people who might not have known how much they meant to her, Wes Smith and Mike Dorak. You are additional brothers to her children.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco & Son Funeral Home Monday, October 11th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Tuesday, October 12th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Betty Louise Wheeler

After a loving and fulfilling life, Betty Louise Wheeler, of Endicott, NY, entered into God's arms on September 28, 2010. She was the beloved wife of Earl Wheeler who predeceased her in 2008 after 58 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of six children and their spouses, Linda and Brian Watson, Richard and Kimberly Wheeler, Michael and Terry Lynn Wheeler, Thomas and Susan Wheeler, Nancy Wheeler, John and Kelly Wheeler; as well as the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, Daniel Savich, David Savich, Allison Watson, Katie Wheeler, Chelsea Wheeler, Morgan Wheeler and Paige Wheeler. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Adrien Terrenoire; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Lorraine Cassidy; sister-in-law, Joyce Cassidy; brother-in-law and his wife, Gary and Susan Wheeler; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her parents, Mildred and Howard Cassidy; her brother, Richard Cassidy; and sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Roy Shear. Betty also loved those she considered her other "sons and daughters", to include the families of Gene Raymondi, Dan Wahila, Rich Olson, Ron Olivera, Dan Yager, Mark and Lynn Radley, and Kenneth and Heidi Belles; and was "Gramma Betty" to many, to include Ron Carter, Justine Belles, Jennifer and Jason Orr, Kadianne Francis, Kevin Radley, Lisa Radley, Luciana Ferreira, Dee Dee Atway, and Danielle Podrazil. She wished to also remember Steve Smith, Thelma and Austin Belles, Drs. M. Epstein, M. Yalamanchili and Z. Shaw, as well as the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital ER and ICU units. She is remembered fondly by those that knew her desire to live life to its fullest, her good humor, her spirituality, and her musical passion for Engelbert Humperdinck. Betty was a graduate of the State Teacher's College at Oneonta, NY. She was retired from the Union-Endicott School District after 20 years of teaching. She was a lifelong member of the PTA, and charter member of Our Lady of Good Council Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 1:30 pm from Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, West Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Margaret (Gaidosh) Pratt of Binghamton

Margaret (Gaidosh) Pratt went into the loving arms of the Lord, Monday September 6th, 2010, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Fannie (Medwid) Gaidosh; her husband, Anton Thomas Pratt Sr.; her only son, Anton Thomas Pratt Jr.; her granddaughter, Lynne (Pratt) Kurutz; infant grandson, Phillip Pratt, Morgan Smart, Thomas Haen; her sisters, Anna Dragonetti, Mary VanBuskirk, Helen Nezelek, Jay Mrazek and Jaqueline. She is survived by her two daughters, Donna (Flynn) Haen and Laura (Pratt) Vlosky; one remaining sister, Gerry (Gaidosh) Kunkle; daughter-in-law, Barbara (Valence) Pratt; former son-in-law, Ed Vlosky; grandchildren, Anton Thomas Pratt III, Diane (Hoover) Pratt, Kelly (Flynn) Potak, Jake Potak, Pamela Flynn, Gamal Hampton, Megan (Flynn) Ferkol, Bryan Ferkol, Jimmy Flynn, Stephanie (Stine) Flynn, Anne (Vlosky) Layton, Chris Layton, Alexia Vlosky and Julie Vlosky; great-grandchildren, Dayne, Tarin and Tynan Pratt, Michael and Evan Kurutz, Alexandra and Sophia Potak and Harper Layton; sister-in-law, Rosemary Obrien; nephew, Robert Pratt; friend, David; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret was born in Johnson City, NY on the 10th of October, 1918. Perhaps that's why she loved fall most. She grew up on 23 Wilson St. attending Woodrow Wilson School through the eighth grade. Her love of learning endured throughout her lifetime. Margaret worked in a factory to support the war effort during WWII, but everyone knew her as the drapery department diva at Philadelphia Sales on Clinton St. Learning the ropes from the best, Mary Shramek, she became a devoted and knowledgeable salesperson. She knew her inventory and just what looked classy if anyone wanted her opinion, which she probably gave anyway. Later she was promoted to buyer in the lamp department. No family's home was bereft of the latest "window treatments" with Marge around. Never really a gardener, she nevertheless loved flowers and the green hills we watched on the long rides to the Beaverkill and "the barn." It was just that, a barn, until she and Anton worked to make it the best cottage ever! Many friends and family helped as well. Of course, she was fussier than he liked, but that was Marge. She insisted on the right kitchen curtains and he fished. When in its heyday, family members, fishing buddies and a myriad friends and neighbors streamed in and out. She made sure the kids always had three squares and no one ever left hungry or thirsty. Not a good swimmer, her goal every summer was to make it across the river. She was a good daughter-in-law and sister-in-law. She took our Grandma for groceries almost every week. She set Aunt Minnie's hair on Saturday nights. Trips to the cemetery to plant geraniums on the graves at St Cyril's are remembered, fondly. Her God and her church were important in her life and that faith filled her home. Sundays held no ironing or sewing. Churchgoing was mandatory. She was a member of St. Cyril's, Ladies Club and Holy Rosary Society. She was a devoted volunteer for CHOW for many years. She was a hard worker in the hall kitchen, traveled to choose the auction quilt and volunteered for Friday night bingo. Her life with Anton was traditional for that time. He went fishing on weekends, returning on Sunday to her famous mile high lemon meringue pie. She bowled on Friday nights at St Cyril's and later with Anton in a mixed league. They shared life for sixty-one years. They danced at weddings with him always complaining she wanted to lead. They sang duets as he played his banjo. There were the drives to Aunt Annie's on Sundays for Uncle Albert spaghetti. He called her "Magritz" in his thick Italian accent. Trips to Aunt Helen and Aunt Mary's were common. They shared joy, sadness, love and life. But it was her role as grandmother that defined her more than any other. If you look in the dictionary for the word "Grandmother," you will find a picture of Margaret Pratt. Her unrelenting love and devotion to her grandchildren was, in their words, "unparalleled." Be it be her time, money, advice, discipline, guidance or laughter they needed, it was provided. Memories of Easter egg hunts in the back yard, original bedtime stories spun by her and countless games in the kitchen abound in their heads. Christmas was presents, but also cookies, cookies everywhere! Her baking at holidays was epic. She was never hungry, just in case someone else might be with one remaining piece of pizza. She always put them first. Precious bingo games were swept aside for spur of the moment visits, early sleep put off until all were safe in the house and later her mantra at dinner time was, "Go buy whatever you want. I'll give you the money." Somewhat imperfect, we all agree that nobody gave a "dirty look" like Margaret, yet it was her capacity to love and forgive any and all of us, that in the end will be the marker of her life. Her willingness to change her opinions and attitudes for the love of her family was constant, her generosity unsparing. Her strength at the end was a sign of how she lived her life. She is forever in our hearts as mother, grandmother, friend. God Bless you Margie. Roseanna M. Robinson, 79, of Binghamton, died Saturday August 28, 2010 at her home. She is survived by her three children, Deborah Knapp, Binghamton, Ralph and Shelly Robinson, North Syracuse, Susan A. and Joseph Knapp, Binghamton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren including Paige, Kiara and Anthony with whom she lived. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Martin, Binghamton; brother and sister-in-law, William and Alice Baker of Arizona; brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Mary Scott of Binghamton; and also several nieces, nephews and cousins. "She was the rock and glue of our family." Roseanna was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be held at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton on Tuesday August 31 at 4pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4pm prior to the service. John P. "Jack" Shelton, 77, of Venice, FL, formerly of Johnson City died Friday, July 30, 2010 in Venice, FL. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Anne Spellicy Shelton, Venice, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Mary and Michael Wohlrab, Sarasota, FL; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Colleen and Patrick Wohlrab; a sister, Mary Shelton, Endicott. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Venice, FL and a former member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton. Jack was a retired 35 year employee of the IBM Corporation; a U.S. Army veteran; member of the Knights of Columbus, Peter T. Campon Council #206 and a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and co-chairman of the St. Patrick's Day Parade for five years. He was active in the Democratic Party and was a Trustee on the Johnson City Village Board. He was a N.Y.S. Democratic Committee Person and worked actively for the Jimmy Carter election and attended President Carter's Inauguration.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton Thursday at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. Take Time to Remember One of Our Volunteers

Caroline B. (Casort) Stone
of EndicottCaroline B. (Casort) Stone, of Endicott, NY, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010, from complications of renal failure. Survived by her husband of 58 years, Darrell Stone, Caroline was born June 23, 1930 in Coffeyville, KS to Fred and Hazel Casort. She is predeceased by brothers, Loren, Robert, Mervin and Marvin Casort. Along with her husband, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane Stone-Bush and Wayne Bush of Philadelphia, PA; son and daughter-in-law, David Stone and Donna June of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Christopher Stone-Bush of Osaka, Japan, Stephen and Sara Stone-Bush of Philadelphia, PA and Jillian Stone of Los Angeles, CA; and sister, Alice (Casort) Evans of Pittsburgh, PA. A loving wife, mother and sister, Caroline is most remembered as a musician. Beginning as a high school accompanist in Coffeyville, she was encouraged to study organ and became the organist at St. Paul's Episcopal Church there, a vocation she continued throughout the remainder of her life. After graduating from Coffeyville College of Arts and Sciences, she taught public school music in Sabetha, KS. During her summer break while attending summer classes at UCLA, she was introduced to her future husband, Darrell, by her brother Loren. After marriage, the couple moved to France where Darrell served in the US Army attached to the Air Force, and Caroline served as the chapel organist for the 866th E.A.B. After returning to the States, the pair settled in Endicott, NY where Caroline became church organist for St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Endicott, a position she held for 30 years. At the same time, Caroline started a private piano studio from her home where she shared her joy for music with over 225 children. After her retirement from both, Caroline continued to participate in the community as an interim and substitute organist, including serving as accompanist for the Vestal Community Chorus. She was a member of the American Guild of Organists and a past Dean of the Binghamton Chapter; a past co-chairperson of the local chapter of the National Guild of Piano Teachers; the Midstate Music Teachers Association; the Southern Tier Music Teachers Association; and was a member of the Harmony Club of Binghamton. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels, serving since its inception, with C.H.O.W., R.S.V.P. and with the Arts Corp for the Anderson Center at Binghamton University. She was a Past President of her church's Episcopal Church Women chapter, a member of the St. Paul's Altar Guild and other church groups. Caroline and Darrell enjoyed many years of round and square dancing with Shirts and Skirts. of BinghamtonJames Armour McDonnell, 88, of Binghamton, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died peacefully Friday, May 21, 2010. He was predeceased by a daughter, Isabel McDonnell. He is survived by his wife, Harriet Tyler McDonnell, Binghamton; his children, Lisa J. McDonnell, Granville, OH, Cynthia A. McDonnell and her husband, Ben Moore, Manlius, NY, Mary M. and Arne Skjold, Valderoy, Norway, James T. McDonnell and his partner, Kevin J. Sylvester, Washington, DC; his grandchildren, Elizabeth and Matthew Moore, and Jan Arne, Christoffer and Paal Skjold; his sister, Frances M. Doyer; and several nieces and nephews. Jim graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology with a degree in Engineering and served as a Naval Lieut. j.g. in WWII. He retired from the IBM Corporation as Senior Engineer after 38 years. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Vestal. He was also a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club and the Triple Cities Glider Club, and he enjoyed travel.
Services will be held at Vestal Hills Memorial Park on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Reverend James D. Tormey, his Pastor, will officiate. Gladys Marie Walker Neel, age 92 of Endicott, New York and formerly of Butler, PA passed away and joined God on Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Ideal Senior Living Center in Endicott, NY. Gladys was born on October 15, 1917 and was raised in Saxonburg, PP. She graduated from Butler High School in 1935. She married Robert M. Neel in June 1949. Gladys was pre-deceased by; husband Robert M. Neel of Butler, PP; parents William H. Walker and Margaret Logan Walker of Saxonburg; father-in-law and mother-in-law Roy S. Neel, Sr. and Belle Neel of Butler; brothers Howard Walker of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Dr. Homer Walker of Ames, Iowa; brother- in-law and sister-in-law Sam and Nancy Means of Harrisville; and sister-in-law Dorothy Neel of Butler. Gladys is survived by; son, Roger Walker Neel, daughter-in-law Beth Neel and step-granddaughter Angela Anderson of Endicott, NY. She is also survived by; sister-in-law Alice Walker of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; sister-in-law Donna Walker of Ames, Iowa; brother-in-law Roy S. Neel, Jr of Butler; a niece Jean Neel of Butler; five nephews and their families including; Roy Corso of Harrisville, PA; Dan and Shirley Corso of Butler; William and Carole Walker of Ohio; Kenneth Walker of Ohio and Douglas and Nancy Walker of Arizona; Gladys is also survived by many cousins and their families as well as hundreds of wonderful friends. Gladys has been a long-time member of Unionville United Presbyterian Church and was active in several service groups including The Grange and AARP. Gladys moved to Endicott, NY in 2003 to be near her son and his family. Gladys was a wonderful and kind-hearted woman whose love for her family and friends was endless. She would do whatever she could to make life easier and better for everyone she met asking nothing in return. Her smile would light up a room and her greeting of "Hi Honey" will never be forgotten. God has welcomed a true angel home. May God bless you Gladys. The family of Gladys Neel would like to thank Dr. Berkowitz and Dr. Crosby for the outstanding care Gladys received. And special thanks to the nurses and staff at Ideal Senior Living Center whose compassion and loving care were so much appreciated. We're so happy you got to meet Gladys. Words could not describe how beautiful and loving she was. You got to see that love every day. And also our heartfelt thanks to Deacon Maynard for his visits, his prayers and his comforting words.

of Binghamton

Gary R. Mangurian, 80 of Binghamton passed away Sunday afternoon, March 28, 2010 at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center after a brief illness surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia Massar Mangurian; a devoted brother-in-law, Cyril and Kathryn Massar and their children, Kathleen, Cyril III and Mark; a sister, Virginia Terrell and her children, Susan and Bill; special god-children, Joseph Kessler and Maria Palmatier; cousin, Florence Chakmakjian; very close special friends, Lorry and Walt Kessler and family. Gary was an active member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Binghamton and the Men's Club. He was a devoted Bingo caller and a member if it's social club (Couples Club). He was a volunteer CHOW worker and past president of Beaver Lake Association and retired from Cascade Electric. Gary was very proud of his Armenian Ancestory.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Binghamton, Wednesday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. Frederick A. Sarnecky, Sr., who celebrated his 90th Birthday on November 10, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 26, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Marie Bennett Sarnecky and was predeceased by his first wife, Claire in 1977. he is also survived by his three sons, Steve Sarnecky and his wife, Cindy and grandsons, Jeremy and Jake of San Mateo, California; Chris Sarnecky and his wife, Tomoko and grandson, Taiga of Chiba, Japan; and Fred Sarnecky, Jr. and grandsons, Connor and Michael of Germantown, Maryland. He is also survived by three step sons and one step daughter, Mark Bennett and wife, Colleen and grandson, Tyler of Endwell; John Bennett of Annapolis, Maryland; Carol Scalzo and grandchildren, Bennett and Adrianna of Walpole, Massachusetts; and Phillip and Lucia Bennett and grandson, Ryan of Italy. He was employed for over 42 years at General Electric Company and was an avid golfer who belonged to the Enjoie Golf Course and Endwell Greens. Fred served his country proudly during World War II, serving in Europe and Africa in the 813th Signal Service Company as a Cryptographic Technician.

A Memorial Mass will be held at the Church of the Holy Family in Endwell on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A special thanks to the Hospice Unit West Wing of Lourdes Hospital for their care during Fred's final days. On Monday, November 16, James Wm. Kildare Sr., 88, passed from our existence and was born in the next. At 3:40 p.m. he joined his beloved wife, Emma, on their new journey. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he made Johnson City his new home, which he loved. He was a proud member of the U.S. Army during WWII serving in Europe. He worked until he retired at G.A.F./Ozalid in Johnson City and Vestal Plants. He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Marie; sons, James Jr., Raymond, Robert, Daniel and Annette; 7 grandchildren, Christina and Tod, Amanda and Ryan, Damian and Janele, Gary and Tonya, Robert, Joseph, and Michael; 7 great-grandchildren. A supporting cast of Mary, Sue, Judy W. and Pam. He had two main goals in life: to survive the war and to raise a family. It appears he had a very good life. We will miss him very much.

Larry Lyle Relyea was born to Elsie and William Relyea in Saugerties, NY on April 10, 1946. Larry graduated from Windsor High School in 1964 and then attended Scranton University. He belonged to many community groups throughout his life, and among his passions were the Binghamton Civil War Roundtable, the Binghamton Model Railroaders, and Roberson Museum's "Home for the Holidays," where he volunteered with his "conductors at heart," Howard Lott and David Spicer. On Wednesday, November 18, at 7:00 p.m., Larry joined his mother, Elsie; his stepfather, Joseph Cozza; his father, William; his brother, Joe; and his very special mother-in-law, Audrey Greene. He leaves behind his loving family: Peg, his loving wife of 42 years; sons, Mark, Pete and his wife Amy, Nate and his wife Nicole; and his grandchildren whom he adored, Josh, Audrey, Joey and Briana, who will miss him dearly. He will also be remembered by his many friends.

A celebration of Larry's life will be held Monday, November 23, at 6:00 p.m. at the Barber Memorial Home, 428 Main St., Johnson City. The family will greet friends prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, and at Larry's request, donations may be made in his memory to CHOW at 3 Otsiningo St., Binghamton, NY.
